Fouldes
(Born 1921 Died 1982)
James won a scholarship
to Dronfield Grammar when he was 11, going on to get top marks in the U.K.
for Accountancy.
He became Chairman and Managing Director of Tinsley Wire in Sheffield and
died before he retired.
It's a real shame I never met him as he also had a real desire to find out about our family. His daughter Pam tells me that, when travelling around, he always checked all telephone entries in local phone books for Fouldes with the "e". Pam says he didn't have a lot of luck, but with computers now he would have been in his element! He also spent many hot hours in archive offices looking for our family history and has left a LOT of notes which have really helped me in my family tree quest! Thank you James, bless you.
