David John Fouldes
Born at the ?????, Lincolnshire,
David (or Dave as he is more commonly known) is the second and last child
that his parents had together. His middle name was John after his dad's first
name - John is a name that has been used for many generations.
He grew up in Pinchbeck (South Lincolnshire) attending Pinchbeck Primary School
and then the Sir John Gleed Boys High School in nearby Spalding. After school
he went straight into work, working in warehouses with plants and flowers
- which he still does.
He married Jennifer Louise
Wilson (from nearby Gosberton) and moved a couple of miles away to Spalding
for a short spell.
After about a year they moved back to Pinchbeck again where he has stayed
ever since.
Dave had two boys (Michael and Gavin) with Jenni, but they separated in 1985.
His eldest son, Michael, stayed with him, whilst Gavin went with his mother.
He brought up his eldest child Michael with a lot of help from his mother,
Irene Kathleen Fouldes.
After a couple of years he met his second wife Pauline Spindler, with whom
he had his third and final child Ricki (another boy!).
However Pauline and he separated a few years back.
Dave is a very funny man - who likes to wind you up something chronic - something
I've inherited!!! We share similar looks as well!
He is a big music fan
- having seen many of the 60's greats (The Beatles, Hendrix, The Who) in local
venues and one of the big Isle of Wight Festivals.
He loves the blues as well, and mucks about a bit on guitar...just don't ask
him to sing "On Top Of Old Smokey"!!!
